TOONSPEAK: A NEW MEDIUM

BULLIED
HALA BIRADA NEWS
12/2006
The Ati community, the oldest minority in the country, is yet being driven out of their domain. But this time, no Malays, Indones, Spaniards, Japanese nor Americans are behind it. Koreans. Yep, Koreans, who owns the Seraph Properties are now building a hotel on the land that is claimed by the Ati community.
But the Koreans are no fools. They have their own backer, the Yap and Miraflores families, who claims, armed with a paper called land title, ownership of the disputed land.
Sen. Madrigal also entered into the picture by simply lambasting a government agency that is supposed to work for the protection and advancement of the rights of our Ati brothers.
This, is happening right inside the island that is called Boracay.
